At the same time our future revolves around the technical and cultural base that was established as part of our history.  There is much in it that should remain.  One example is the business philosophy.

We quote from an employee manual that predates the 1960’s:

 “It is the firmly established policy of our organization to supply our customers with basic materials of the highest purity, quality and uniformity. Beyond this, we fully subscribe to the highest standards and principles of American business ethics and to the stated principles of our associates in the pharmaceutical industry and in the medical profession.  Our trademark, designed around the bust of Hippocrates, the Father of Medicine, symbolizes these high principles which all of us must constantly strive to protect, preserve and maintain with vigor and vigilance.”
